As I write this blog on how to deal with the recession week after week, I am contemplative about how my messages are perceived and received. My intention is to share some ideas that I either have come up with myself or have “borrowed” from others, hopefully citing them along the way!
I’m just like you, working hard every day, trying to thrill my clients and co-workers, trying not to get dragged down by the often dismal economic news. I get up every morning, just like you, and simply want to do a good job.
Although it is not in my nature to offer unsolicited advice, that is what I seem to end up doing in this blog. I am not unscathed or unaffected by the recession, but I do try to think positively as often as possible, and be opportunistic in attempting to please my clients and prospects. Those are some of the thoughts I had hoped to share with you through this blog…not the answers, just some alternatives.
Often it is the case of “doctor, heal thyself,” and I don’t always take my own advice! Appearing hypocritical is not something that sits well with me, so while I continue to offer my thoughts on combating the recession’s negative impacts, please know that I’m in the same boat as you, and do not hold myself up as some vaunted expert.
Here’s to a new and improved 2010!
