You know what I’m talking about, right? Everything seems to be going wrong. People say bad things happen in threes, but what happens when the bad things are actually DAYS and you have THREE IN A ROW??
Our lives are so full, so busy, overpacked with responsibilities. Work, family, friends, community. With our time so “spoken for,” how do we handle when things go wrong? Do we have any “fudge” time built in to deal with problems? Speaking personally, I’ll have to admit that I do not.
And that in itself is a problem.
When stressed and committed to the max, what do we do when a family member gets sick? Or someone crashes your car? Or your air conditioner breaks when it is 90 degrees out? Or a tree falls on your fence? Or your credit card is rejected for security reasons that you know nothing about? Or your invisible fence breaks and your dogs are happily running free in the neighborhood? Or you get fired by your dog trainer for letting your dogs run happily free in the neighborhood? Or the fire department shows up because you are an unskilled griller?
And what happens when all of that happens in a 3 day period?
Welcome to my world!
Sometimes when life piles on, you just have to sit back, handle things one by one, and just shake your head. I know that I’m not alone, listen to poor Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who has also clearly had one of those days too!
