A very sage, savvy and experienced client once said to me that the relationship between a supplier and customer can be likened to a romantic relationship. There is the “woo-ing” phase, whereby the potential vendor “courts” the prospective client. They have many meetings (“dates”) finding out about one another to see if there is a good match. October 11, 2023 This Just In… A few years ago, I discovered an HBO dramatic series called The Newsroom. All I can say is, “WOW!” It’s a great show, with interesting and smart characters, witty dialogue and compelling plot lines. I’m no TV critic, but I sure do like this show. One of the main reasons I like it is that it makes me think. And I mean THINK, as in really question long-standing beliefs I’ve been holding onto. “Questioning” doesn’t necessarily mean “Changing.” What it means is that it’s ok to really cogitate on issues that have become second nature. Is it comfortable? Certainly not….
September 20, 2023 Do You Really Need To Change The Whole World? It’s an intoxicating, noble and exciting idea, isn’t it? Who doesn’t want to “change the world?” It would be great for an individual to take some sort of action and bring about widespread and permanent change to the entire universe. Or would it? What if that change you made disrupted otherwise peaceful and stable situations? Ever heard of the butterfly effect? I hope that most of us are good-hearted, well-meaning individuals, and that many of us have a desire or drive to help others.
