Idle Hands Are A Perfect Time to Tackle Projects!

Here’s one from the vaults, originally posted in 2009…

Phone not ringing as much as it used to? People kinda hangin’ around looking like they are at loose ends? What are you gonna do?

PUT ‘EM TO WORK!

During this perceived or real lull in your business, why not tackle some of those projects you never seemed to have time to get to before…remember, when you were meeting rush deadlines?!

If you don’t have one handy, make a list for you and your team of all of the things you could be doing if only you had the time (of course, in addition to servicing the heck out of your clients!).

How about some cleaning/reorganizing projects? Some training for your staff? A special marketing project or two? Writing a blog? Updating your website? Taking a survey of your clients? Analyzing your financials? Meeting with vendors to get some new ideas to increase sales or save costs?

The lists can be extensive…delegate what you can, keep the higher level stuff for yourself. And, you know what, just as soon as you finish your list, the phone will probably start ringing…one of Murphy’s Laws!
